EducationRutgers University-New Brunswick - Bachelors, French and Italian
ExperienceI thoroughly enjoy tutoring because I am able to help students overcome their educational obstacles. I've taught for more than a decade, both in the U.S. and in other countries. My focus as a tutor is on languages, and I speak both Italian and French fluently. My bachelor's degree, which I earned at Rutgers University, is in French and Italian. I also have a master's degree in business administration with a focus on information systems and international business, so I can help busy professionals learn French or Italian for business, too. Recently, I received my teaching certification to teach English as a second language from New Jersey City University, with a focus on teaching K-12 students. I've taught languages to every age group, from very young children to adults, so I've learned to exercise patience and compassion as students work hard to learn a new language. I love working as a tutor because I can clearly see the abilities inherent in my students, and the challenges they must overcome. When I'm not teaching English, French, or Italian, I love to watch independent and foreign films, which helps me keep my language skills sharp. I also enjoy staying in shape with yoga.
